Cartems Donuterie

Why are good donuts so hard to find in Vancouver? Cartems probably has one of the best and most legit donuts I have ever had. I can also add that these are “donut cakes” to me. In the midst of this dreadful and depressing exam week, I decided to take my friend, Katherina, to de-stress over these delicious sweet hoops. To those SFU students who are studying downtown, this place can mend your stressful and troubled little heart.

Question: What’s your favourite donut spot?

To conclude Movember and to give a huge applause to all the men who haven’t shaved for the month of November (ew), I tried the Monut (CAD3). I thought the mini chocolate moustache cookie was adorable on top of a vanilla bean glazed classic donut. The texture of the frosted pastry was soft and the vanilla bean glazed was naturally sweet.

Katharina went for a heavier sweet tooth with the Toffee Donut with chocolate glaze. She insisted Cartems has one of the best donuts and that this bakery delight  was pure comfort food.

Hey Sharon, I don’t have a favourite donut place in Vancouver, but Top Pot in Seattle is awesome. They have good donuts and donut swag– shirts and caps and whatnot. :)
