Purdy’s to Vancouver and Ghirardelli to San Francisco. All your chocolate cravings are fulfilled as you dive into a heavenly fluff of whipped cream above scoops of ice cream, chocolate fudge, caramel, blended banana and chocolate chips. We took a trip to the chocolate cornucopia of San Francisco or Ghirardelli’s Square for some sweet indulgences. Basically everything we ordered is what you will see at the last page of all menus.
First up we have the Caramel Quake Shake (USD7.95 – medium) with generous scoops of creamy vanilla ice cream at the bottom, caramel sauce layered over, hot and runny chocolate fudge on top and a balancing swirl of whipped cream. Now this is some dessert.
On the shallow and lighter side, I went for the Sea Salt Caramel Banana Milkshake (USD6.95 – small) with a blend of a banana, chocolate and caramel into one glorious shake. For a small size, this is already extremely filling.
Stay warm with a cup of Lombard Street Hot Cocoa (USD4.25) with fresh steamed hot milk and four Ghirardelli Double Fudge Squares. Let the chocolate squares melt into a heart warming chocolate delight soothing your throat depending on your preference or eat them separately.
